Soft Note 031-3 - Line-by-Line printing with Epson printers
Description:
As it was the case with Windows NT 4.0, the Line-by-Line printing mode does not work with Windows XP/2000 Professional. With Windows NT 4.0, an easy get-around was to install another printer driver (generic / text only, see Soft Short Note 13 for details), but this trick cannot be applied with Windows XP/2000 Professional.
