AS-AP Normal Self-Test Video
Description:
This video contains information on the AS-AP Normal Self-Test.
Environment:
AS-AP Autosampler
The startup self-test sequence is as follows:
1. The XZ arm needle assembly repositions itself, if needed, vertically to home position (new: Z-axis needle assembly home position)
2. The XZ arm moves toward the center of the carousel (i.e. X-axis home position)
3. The carousel rotates in clockwise direction (360 degrees or so) past Red section
4. Then the carousel rotates in counterclockwise direction (20 degrees or so) back to Red section
5. The Aux motor for the 3-way valve at the top of the syringe drive rotates in clockwise direction (i.e toggles between sample and buffer positions)
6. The main motor of the syringe moves down and up (i.e. aspirates and dispenses the syringe). Then the Aux motor rotates a little more in clockwise direction
7. The interior LED lights turn on
8. The XZ arm moves toward the edge of the carousel while the carousel is rotating in clockwise direction (20 degrees or so). The needle assembly descends and ascends (i.e. Z-axis home position)
9. The XZ arm moves to the injection port. The needle assembly descends and parks there
10. All panel LED lights, except the power and alarm LED, turn off
This concludes the startup self-test.
The regular self-test has the following additional steps:
11. The 3-way valve toggles its position (counterclockwise). Then the syringe drive moves down to aspirate.
12. The needle assembly moves to the wash port.
13. The 3-way valve toggles its position again (clockwise). Then the syringe drive moves up to dispense.
14. The needle assembly moves to the injection port and parks there.
This concludes the Regular self-test.
