ICS-4000 systems with serial numbers 13110337 or lower (excluding 13110336) have an incorrectly coated PCB, leading to potential corrosion and failure. Symptoms include random noise and misidentification of the detector. A repair kit (088360) is available, and the replacement procedure is detailed in the ICS-4000 Service Manual.
Description:
ICS-4000 Systems shipped with SNs 13110337 or lower except 13110336 have a PCB that was not coated correctly by the outside vendor. This interconnect board is located behind the detector(s) inside of the cooled thermal compartment. The board is exposed to condensation and will eventually fail from corrosion of the uncoated metal contacts.
