Carousel release button does not respond

Issue

Carousel release button does not respond on AS-DV sampler 

Environment

AS-DV autosampler

Resolution

The display board needs to be replaced. The previous part number was 069313 as described in older Service Manuals. However, the new part number is 60-069313 with the SAP description as PCB ASSY,DISPLAY,AS-DV,NPB.

Until the replacement can be performed, the customer can use a work around.

1. Power off the module using the switch on the back of the instrument. 

2. Power back on after about 10 seconds. This will reset the carousel counter and the carousel can move and be loaded with new vials. 

3. Reconnect the module in Chromeleon. 

4. Start a the sequence. 

Analysis

This fix was found and tested by onsite FSE analysis.

Cause

The carousel release button connection cable has disconnected at the board.
