How to replace an IC injection valve stator?

Note: The an IC injection valve stator may also be referred to as the stator face.

Part Number

The part number for an IC 6-port injection valve stator is 063180 and the SAP description for this is:  "STATOR,MIGHTY,VLV,6 PORT"

The part number for an IC 10-port injection valve stator is 064389 and the SAP description for this is: "STATOR,VALVE,RHEODYNE,10-PORT,TITAN"

Note: There is no part number associated with the IC 4-port injection valve stator. The entire injection valve pod assembly will need to be replaced.  The part number for the valve pod assembly is 074699 and the SAP description for this is "VLV POD ASSY,400NL, INT LOOP,RHEO,PK".

Note: The hex screws for the injection valve stators are not included when ordered.

Resolution

To replace an IC injection valve stator, follow these steps:

  1. Turn off the pump:

    • From the control panel in Chromeleon or the touch screen HOME page, turn off the pump.

  2. Open the front door:

    • Open the front door of the IC system to access the injection valve.

  3. Disconnect liquid lines:

    • Disconnect each liquid line connected to the injection valve.

  4. Remove the stator:

    • Using a 9/64” Hex wrench, alternately loosen the screws on each side of the stator to prevent binding, or hand twist off the knurled end of the valve.

  5. Reinstall the replacement stator:

    • Reinstall the stator by alternately turning the screws on each side to avoid binding.

  6. Reconnect liquid lines:

    • Reconnect all liquid lines to the injection valve.

  7. Close the front door:

    • Close the front door of the IC system.

  8. Turn on the pump:

    • Turn on the pump from the control panel in Chromeleon or the touch screen HOME page.
