QC Variance - Out-of-tolerance
Issue
QC is varying. In this example it occurred during a CCV in which one instance of the CCV would recover around 100% while the next analysis of the CCV would recover at 150%.
Environment
- iCAP Q
- iCAP RQ
- iCAP TQ
- ECCN: EAR99
Resolution
Performed an external cross calibration even though internal cross calibration was enabled in the LabBook.
Analysis
It was determined that the variances in CCV were only affecting the isotopes which were analyzed in Analog only mode of the detector which is indicated by the bold typeface of the intensities.
Cause
It appears that even when internal cross calibration is enabled that an external cross calibration must still be performed regularly
