Details

It is a normal behavior to see CRT axis, CAS axis and DOC temperature raise during dock and undock CAS. There is a test to verify if the temperature raise in AL is within spec, following DOC. 4022 190 90179 chapter 5. It is important to meet the precondition before the temperature test. It may take 15 min to meet the precondition temperature especially DOC as it’s holding the CAS.

CAS axis precondition temperature are the highest as it take longer time to cool compare to CRT. Yet CAS and CRT have the same spec. This imply CAS has less buffer to cater to temperature raise during CAS exchange.

Care must be taken to ensure before docking, CAS is cool to LN2 temperature inside the capsule. When LN2 is not boiling, this is an indication CAS is cool close to LN2 temperature.
