ODP Turns Off

ODP turns off after V3 open

Tecnai G2 Spirit BioTWIN

These are possible resolutions for the issue:

  • Adjust P1 trip voltage

These are possible causes for the issue:

  • P1 trip level voltage too low

There is error in the vacuum dialogue after vacuum turn on. ‘PLCB detected an interlock. As a result the PLCB refuses to ‘Turn on’ element ‘ODP1’. ‘The PLCB of the Vacuum System detect that element ‘ODP1’ spontaneously ‘Turns on’. PLCB dialogue shows OD_TM_ON_REFUSED. However ODP still continues to warm up. When ODP temperature is ready, V3 opens and vacuum status changes to Column Valve ready, but after a while the ODP turns off. At that moment, the vacuum dialog shows ‘The watchdog of the vacuum system detected the following error: ‘Projection (P3) pressure too high’; PLCB dialogue shows no errors anymore.

Replace P3 gauge, top up ODP oil, check CDB fuse and jumper, replace PLCB, check ODP heater resistance, re-install SW, replace MOB and MVG all did not help.
After adjusting P1 trip voltage, problem was solved (instructions on next slide).
