The Thermo Scientific General Purpose 4L Benchtop Centrifuges have been discontinued to update their product portfolio and provide innovative sample-processing solutions. The discontinuation notice, issued on November 19. Discontinued models include Heraeus Megafuge 40, Multifuge X3, Sorvall Legend XT, and others. The new Thermo Scientific 4L General Purpose Pro Centrifuge Line replaces these, offering improved design, safety, and features. Service support continues through January 1, 2026.
