This centrifuge is intended to be used as a laboratory equipment to separate sample mixtures of different densities. This centrifuge can be used as an In-Vitro diagnostics device (Directive 98/79/EC), if used together with IVD tubes, to separate blood into its components such as serum and plasma for further clinical diagnostic analysis. The centrifuge has to be operated by a trained individual such as a clinical laboratory technologist or a trained laboratory technician.
