Blank display at power up

Issue

The display remains blank, and the instrument will not initialize. 

Environment

  • GENESYS 40-180
  • BioMate 160

Resolution

  • Turn the instrument off.
  • Install the paper into the internal printer.
  • Turn the instrument on.

Cause

If the internal printer is installed in the instrument and there is no paper in the printer when the instrument is turned on, the display remains blank, and the instrument will not initialize.
