Determining if a Nicolet iS10 Spectrometer has an extended baseplate installed

Resolution

The baseplate extension looks like a tongue that extends from the front of the iS10 about 3 inches and has a black aluminum plate that covers one third of the sample compartment floor area. The extension kit is required if baseplate accessories are to be used in the iS10.

When installed the sample compartment looks like this:
