Error Code MD1046 - Cuvette is not making contact with the furnace head
Error MD1046 occurs when the cuvette does not make proper contact with the furnace head, affecting iCE 3400/iCE 3500 models. To resolve this, first, ensure the cuvette is in good condition and correctly fitted. If the issue persists, replace the cuvette. Next, inspect the cones for wear by gently running a paper clip along their surface; if grooves are present, replace the cones. Lastly, increase the clamp force by tightening the clamp force screw, accessed by removing the black grommet cover.
Issue
Error MD1046 - Cuvette is not making contact with the furnace head. Check that the cuvette is in good condition and correclty fitted.

Resolution
1. Replace the cuvette.
2. Inspect the cones and replace if worn.
Note: One way to check to see if the cones are worn is to take a paper clip and run it very genty down the surface of the cone where the cuvette makes contact. If there is a groove worn into the cones from where the cuvette makes contact then it is probably time to replace your cones
3. Increase the clamp force by tightening the clamp force screw by 1/8 of a turn clockwise
