Issue:

Users need to back up the license key for Noran System Six (NSS) or Noran System 7 (NS7) software to ensure it can be easily restored during a software installation.

Environment:

• Software: Noran System Six (NSS), Noran System 7 (NS7)
• Required Tools: MS-Word or WordPad

Resolution:

1. Create a Folder:

   Create a folder called C:\Service if it does not already exist.

2. Open a Blank Document:

   Open a blank MS-Word (or WordPad) document and leave it open.

3. Open NSS/NS7 Software:

   Open the NSS or NS7 software and navigate to an existing data project.

4. Access the License Key:

   Click Help > About Noran System Six (or About Noran System 7).

   
5. Copy the License Key:

   Highlight the complete license key in the help dialogue window. Press Ctrl+C to copy the license key.

6. Paste License Key into Document:

   Navigate to the open MS-Word document. Paste the license key data by pressing Ctrl+V or using Edit > Paste.

7. Save the Document:

   Save the document in the C:\Service folder and name it NSS License Key.

   Note: Copying the license key text allows it to be easily copied and pasted during software installation.

8. Optional - Capture Help Window:

   Ensure the help dialogue window is active by clicking
