NO2 flame for Si 251.6nm line Absorbance issue
This article discusses an issue with silicon (Si) analysis using a NO2/C2H2 flame, where the absorbance results for the main line at 251.6 nm are consistently zero despite increasing standard concentrations. The calibration lacks proportionality, and the auto zero absorbance increases with more fuel. Blank and air samples show different auto zero absorbances. This occurs even with cookbook characteristic concentrations and higher. The resolution suggests using the secondary line at 250.7 nm for

Issue
Si analysis with NO2/C2H2 flame, the Absorbance results for main line (251.6nm) is always zero for standard with increasing concentration, there is not proportionality between standard in the calibration, the auto zero increases increases if the fuel is increased. the blank and the air gives different auto zero Absorbance What described above, happens with cookbook characteristic concentration, and higher concentration.
Environment

- iCE3500
Resolution
Try the secondary line secondary for Si 250.7nm.
