Title

Qtegra Error – Users Unable to Run Software After Domain Migration or Company Acquisition

Issue / Problem

Users are unable to launch or run Qtegra software.

Common symptoms include:

  • Qtegra application fails to open
  • Users receive permission or access-related errors
  • Qtegra functionality is unavailable after domain or company name changes

Environment

  • All Qtegra software applications
  • Windows Operating System
  • Active Directory / Domain-managed environments

Root Cause

Following a company acquisition, domain migration, or LAN/domain name change, the existing Windows local security groups for Qtegra continued referencing old domain accounts.

Because user permissions were tied to outdated domain identities, Qtegra could no longer validate appropriate user access.

Affected local groups may include:

  • Qtegra Administrators
  • Qtegra Analysts
  • Qtegra Users

Resolution

Update the membership of all Qtegra-related local Windows groups to include the new domain accounts.

  1. Open Computer Management.
  2. Navigate to Local Users and Groups > Groups.
  3. Open each of the following groups:
    • Qtegra Administrators
    • Qtegra Analysts
    • Qtegra Users
  4. Remove outdated domain accounts or groups if applicable.
  5. Add the appropriate users or groups from the new company domain.
  6. Apply changes.
  7. Restart Qtegra and verify user access.

Verification

Successful resolution is confirmed when:

  • Users can successfully launch Qtegra
  • Qtegra permissions operate normally
  • No further access or authorization errors occur

Internal Notes

If the issue persists after updating the local groups, verify that:
  • Domain trust and authentication are functioning correctly
  • Users are logging in with the updated domain credentials
  • No legacy domain SIDs remain in local group memberships
  • Qtegra services and related permissions inherit the updated domain access correctly
Support engineers should review all Qtegra-related local security groups following any customer acquisition, domain migration, or Active Directory restructuring event.

If required, escalate to IT infrastructure support for validation of domain replication and group policy propagation.
