Determining Peristaltic Pump Model

Issue

On the ICAP 7400 model there are two possible sizes for the peristaltic pump. If the pump needs to be replaced or repaired, it is important to replace with the same platform so that the pump windings you have will be compatible with the new pump.

Resolution

The "mini" style peristaltic pump, pictured below,  is characterized by a smaller barrel and platens. It uses 3-stop/3-flag pump windings.

The regular peristaltic pump, pictured below, is characterized by a larger footprint. It uses 2-stop/2-flag pump windings.

3-channel and 4-channel pump options are available, which references the number of platens/arms that are used.

The ICAP 7600 uses a mini style pump but also includes the interface for the integrated vacuum valve, pictured below.

For the regular peristaltic pump there is also a service kit available that can be ordered. This kit includes several wear items that can be replaced if the motor is still working and driving. A common reason to order this over the complete assembly is if some of the rollers on the barrel are stuck and unable to be lubricated but the entire barrel/pump head still spins.
