Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Issue

When trying to run a lab book the lab book stops and states "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

In the log view of Qtegra it shows a loss of communication.

Environment

  • Qtegra
  • iCAP PRO 

Resolution

While trouble shooting this issue it was found that in the log view for Qtegra the instrument was losing communication with the computer.   Upon investigation an Ethernet to USB adapter was being used to connect the ICP to the computer.  Once the ICP was plugged into the NIC card on the computer and the customers internet/network was routed through the adapter the system began to run normal.
