Sprint Valve Errors Prevent LabBook from Running in Qtegra

Resolves Sprint Valve errors preventing LabBook execution in Qtegra by correcting configuration state caused by a known issue in versions prior to 2.10.

Issue

Sprint valve errors prevent LabBook from running even when the Sprint Valve is bypassed.

Environment

  • iCAP 7600
  • Qtegra software (version prior to 2.10)
  • Sprint Valve
  • Sprint Valve Configurator

Resolution

Disable the Sprint Valve using the Sprint Valve Configurator:

  • Open Sprint Valve Configurator
    • Navigate to: Start Menu → Thermo Qtegra → Sprint Valve Config
  • Click Connect to Sprint Valve
  • Evaluate the "Enable Sprint Valve Operation" checkbox:

    If the checkbox is checked:

    • Uncheck the box
    • Click Save Configuration to Sprint Valve

If the checkbox is NOT checked:

    • Check the box
    • Click Save Configuration to Sprint Valve
    • Then uncheck the box again
    • Click Save Configuration to Sprint Valve
  • Confirm the Sprint Valve remains disabled

Note: Due to a known software issue, the Sprint Valve may appear disabled while still being enabled internally. Toggling the checkbox ensures the correct state is applied.

Analysis

This issue occurs in Qtegra versions prior to 2.10 due to a software defect in the Sprint Valve Configurator that does not correctly reflect the valve state.
