Troubleshooting DFU Mode on ASX-560 Autosampler

Issue

The ASX-560 Autosampler is not communicating with the computer and is showing up as DFU instead of USB to Serial.

Environment

• ASX-560 Autosampler

Resolution

1. Verify that the ASX-560 is properly connected to the computer.
2. Open the device manager on the XE4 computer.
3. Locate the ASX-560 under the devices list.
4. If it is listed as DFU, proceed with the following steps:
   1. Unplug the USB cable from the ASX-560.
   2. Power cycle the ASX-560 by turning it off and then on again.
   3. Reconnect the USB cable to the ASX-560.
   4. If the issue persists, the firmware needs to be updated see How to Resolve Firmware Issues on Cetac 560.
