Exported digits Long than What is Reported in Qtegra Software, ICAP 6000 Common
Issue
A number reported as '0.000' in Qtegra is being exported as '5.00 x 10-7' when opened in Microsoft Excel
Environment
Qtegra
Resolution
1) Click on Display Settings icon in LabBook Toolbar
2) Change Concentration Precision Digits to maximum value of 8
Analysis
Cause
All calculations within Qtegra are performed at the full available precision of the computer’s floating point unit. It is only when results are displayed in Qtegra that they are truncated to value specified in Concentration Precision Digits (max value of 8). The values displayed in Qtegra are always stored (and calculated) with their full precision, regardless of how they have been formatted for display purposes.
