Qtegra for ICP-MS Plasma Goes Out Before Going into Operate State

Note: This will occur directly after the slide valve has opened.
Most of the time this is due to a plasma related setting (i.e. coolant gas) being set to ‘0’ in the measurement mode because upon going into Operate state, Qtegra sets the instrument settings to whatever is listed in the measurement mode. Therefore, if one of the plasma related settings is forced to ‘0’ because of an incorrect setting in the measurement mode, the plasma will not be able to sustain itself and will be extinguished.
