Analyzer Pressure Too High in STD mode

Issue

Encountered an "Analyzer Pressure Too High" message when running a performance report in STDS, STD, STDR or STD-AGD measurement modes

Environment

  • iCAP Q
  • iCAP RQ
  • ECCN: EAR99

Resolution

1) Click on the Vacuum category in the Control Panel within the Instrument Control application

2) Check the Penning (aka Analyzer) pressure. It should be a value 10-7 in STDS, STD, STDR or STD-AGD mode. If it is a value in the 10-6 range proceed with the next step.

3) Click Edit

Edit Measurement Mode.jpg

4) Check the CCT1 and CCT2 Flow columns. If you see that the flow is a value other than 0 than it is possibe that KED mode settings for example were saved into STDS, STD, STDR, or STD-AGD mode. In the example below you can see where this change occurred.

5) To go back to a previous group of settings, double-click on the most recent row of settings where the CCT Flow's are set to 0 and then click Apply Tune Settings to save the changes. This previous row will now become the active settings which is most recent row of settings. For example, see the blue highlighted row in the figure above where this operation has been performed.
