This article explains how to configure service manual PDF links in the Parts Explorer spreadsheet, including links that open directly to a specific page.

Steps

Column G — Service Manual URL

Column G needs to contain a link to the applicable service manual PDF.
Use a Knowledge Base-hosted PDF whenever possible.
An approved external PDF location may be used when a Knowledge Base-hosted PDF is not available.

NOTE: Service manual URLs can be configured to open directly to a specific PDF page.

URL Format

Append the following string to the end of the PDF URL:

?origin=mt-web#page=41

NOTE: 41 is the target PDF page number

Example — Standard PDF URL

https://knowledge1.thermofisher.com/...ice_Manual.pdf

Example — PDF Opening to Page 41

NOTE: Some PDFs contain:

Cover pages
Tables of contents
Preface sections

Because of this, the displayed document page number may not match the actual PDF page count.

Always verify the correct page number before creating links.
