This Thermo Fisher Scientific note addresses challenges in measuring pH in low ionic strength solutions like distilled water. Conventional pH electrodes often show slow, noisy, and inaccurate responses. The recommendation is to use Thermo Scientific™ Orion™ ROSS™ or ROSS Ultra™ electrodes and the Orion Pure Water pH Test Kit with pHISA™ adjustor to enhance ionic strength and accuracy. Calibration with dilute buffers containing pHISA adjustor ensures precision and minimizes errors.
