EASY Spray Series Ion Source having spray issues

Issue

  • The spray is unstable.

OR

  • There is no spray.

Environment

  • Tribrid Fusion 
  • Easy Spray Ion Spray Models:
    • ES081
    • ES082

Resolution

  • Check all of the LC connections.
  • Try degassing the mobile phase or purging the line, and then recheck the line for air bubbles.
  • Try adjusting the spray voltage. If that does not resolve the blockage problem, either clean the emitter or insert a new EASY-Spray column.
  • Use an LC/MS-grade solvent to clean the emitter tip.
  • Adjust the emitter tip position.
