Viewing Installed Updates and Programs

Issue

When experiencing an issue where the software freezes during an analysis or the instrument is no longer communicating with the PC, it is helpful to discern whether any Windows Updates or new programs / applications have been installed around the time in which the issue started appearing

Environment

Resolution

1)    Check to see if any Windows Updates have transpired since the last time software successfully communicated with the instrument:

a)    Navigate to Control Panel => Programs => Programs and Features => Installed Updates

b)    Browse the  column to see if any Updates have been installed since the software was communicating with the instrument

 

2)    Check to see if any Programs have been installed since software successfully communicated with the instrument?

a)    Navigate to Control Panel => Programs => Programs and Features

 

b)    Click on  to sort column by the date programs have been installed

c)    Have there been any programs installed since software successfully communicated with the instrument?
