Chiller Error code 41

Issue

The Thermoflex chiller displays an Error 41 causing the chiller to stop.

Environment

• Thermoflex 900
• Thermoflex 1400
• Thermoflex 2500

Resolution

Verify that the display cable is properly attached by doing the following:

1) Remove the Side Panels. 
    a) Use a Philips head screwdriver to remove the eleven #6-32 x 1/4" screws indicated in the illustrations below.

    b) Slide the right panel back approximately one inch, then lift slightly from the rear to disengage the panel's two tabs from their slots.
    c) Then remove the left side

2) Accessing the unit from the right side, ensure that the communications cable is properly connected to the control box towards the back of the unit

3) Ensure that the cable is properly connected to the display board which is located behind the front HMI panel

4)  If problem persists replace the display panel.  Contact Thermoflex support at 800-258-0830 (option 2) to find the correct part number using the serial number of the chiller and use the procedure linked here: Display Panel Replacement as a guide to replace the display panel.

Cause

Error 41 indicates a communications error between the display board and main control board.
