AS-AP Cooling Option

Issue

• Issue with the sampler:
  • Excessive liquid in the tray
  • Tray smells of alcohol
• Sampler not ready:
  • Tray temperature control issue
  • Error Message in the Audit Trail “Temperature Difference too large"

Resolution

• Determine if there is an issue with the tray temperature (sampler ready or not).
• In the case of the sampler is not ready due to the temperature, we can suggest to the customer to increase the Delta Temp Ready; increase the temperature inside the tray or shutting down the temperature regulation. This point depends on the sample; the customer can you give more information. 
• If it is possible, help the customer to change the Instrument Method without temperature regulation for the sampler or with another Temp Delta Deviation. This step allows the customer to work while awaiting a FSE repair. 
• Suggest refilling the level of coolant liquid, today it is easy with the new coolant reservoir Cap, knowing that an upgrade is available.
• If the leak is significant, the liquid will go immediately in the tray but if this is a small leak the customer will be able to work normally.
• The solution for all tray leaking is to exchange the tray and during this waiting times adapt the Tray temp.
• If you can’t find both ports Fill and Event, it is because you have an old version of ASAP Back Panel (and maybe an old cap reservoir). 
• In doubt, advise the FSE to order P/N 082907 KIT, ASSY,COOLANT REFILL,AS-AP,TEMP and PN 082891 Coolant,ASAP,30%IPA,500ML.
• Please inform the customer that it is possible to make the coolant solution with IPA but this solution can be too corrosive and increase the damage on the sampler. 
• To fix this issue you need to make a quote or send the FSE on site to exchange the Carousel Tray Assembly.
• These P/N are recommended : 082891 COOLANT,AS-AP,30%IPA,500ml 082907 KIT,ASSY,COOLANT REFILL,AS-AP,TEMP (for old version) 083070 BLOCK,ALIGNMENT FIXTURE,WASHPORT,AS-AP 082786 KIT REPLACEMENT CAROUSEL ASSY, AS-AP TEMP 6 HMO needed for the repair and tests on the sampler. Refer to Figures 1-3.

Cause

Carousel Temperature Control units contain a small seal-activating spring that potentially will corrode to disintegration and may allow the coolant to leak out.
