Resolution

Step 1:  Press "Carousel Release" button and wait until sample tip is fully up, Turn power off.

Step 2:  Remove Motor Assembly and Carousel Assembly plate; see details in AS-DV service manual section 4.14.1 step 1 to 10.

Step 3:  Motor and Carousel assembly plate are equipped with two pulleys. Both pulleys are secured by two grub screws. Retighten these 4 screws and use Loctite 221 or similar to secure them again.

Step 4: If necessary replace belt too, P/N 053913.

Step 5:  Check for Belt tension; see section 4.14.2 in AS-DV service manual.

Step 6:  Reinstall needle assembly and test the alignment performing the needle alignment procedure in section 4.13.1 of the AS-DV service manual.

Step 7:  Reinstall tub and carousel.

Step 8:  Turn power on, wait for self test, reconnect all modules to Chromeleon.

Step 9:  Check for mechanical play of carousel and make at least 3 injections to prove your work.

Cause

AS-DV misalignments are caused by loose set screws.
