Inuvion Degasser in Fault Status

Troubleshooting tips for resolving degasser vacuum problems on an Inuvion

Error

Degasser in Fault Status

Environment

 Inuvion

Cause

1. Leak in degasser system

2. Failed vacuum degas pump

3. Failed board.

Resolution Steps

****Verify that the Vacuum pump pressure is set correctly: PSB-ICSP-1146-Rev A-Inuvion Vacuum Pump Pressure Set Correction

  1. Check for leaks, particularly at the unions/fittings in the degasser vacuum flowpath (for example see red arrow below).

  2. Ensure the plug is tight on the outlet at the back of the Inuvion.

3. If there are no leaks,  check the operation of the vacuum pump.

a. Does it start up when powering on in F8/Commands?

b. Are there lights on the vacuum pump?

c. Consider replacing the vacuum pump.

d. Remember that once the pump faults, it will no longer attempt to pull vaccum. It must be restarted in F8/Commands.

4. Consider replacing the vacuum tubing, and degasser module/catridge.

5. If unsuccessful, replace the main board, 22185-61002R.

6. If unsuccessful, replace the mezzanine board, 22185-61003R.
