Resolution
Processing a spectrum in OMNIC Paradigm to calculate a Second Derivative is performed from the Advanced Spectral Math function.
Advanced Spectral Math is found under the Process menu in OMNIC Paradigm - Desktop view.
Steps to calculate a Second Derivative:
- Open a measurement from the dashboard in OMNIC Paradigm.
- Click on the Process Menu and the Advanced Spectral Math command
- At the top of the Advanced Spectral Math window, click the box for deriv(?) to select the function
- In the equation, click the item with the ? and then click the "Insert Into Equation" to add the spectrum to the equation.
- Click the drop down in the equation to select Second to perform a Second Derivative
- Click the Calculate button in the lower right corner to calculate the Second Derivative spectrum
- The next screen will show the result of the Advanced Spectral Math
- Click the Save button to save this math result spectrum to the measurements.
- If the resulting spectrum is not correct, click the Cancel button to return to the Advanced Spectral Math screen.
