Power Cycle

Issue

This process describes how to power cycle the instrument, accessories and computer in an effort to troubleshoot communicaiton issues

Environment

• iCAP 6000 Series
• iCAP 7000 Series

Resolution

1. Load an Empty configuration (one that doesn't have any instrument or accessory plugins in it) in Qtegra. Reference this knowledge article for more info on how to do so: Reinitialize the Configuration

2. Power off the instrument and any accessories such as an autosampler

3. Shut down the computer

4. Power on the instrument

5. Power on any accessories such as autosampler

6. Power on computer
