Issue

  • Error Code 83: Column temperature below normal range reported (0.05°C)
  • Temperature Sensor showed short after Installation from time to time 

Environment

  • Ion Chromatography
  • ICS-6000
  • ICS-5000
  • DC Module 

Resolution

  • Contact Local Service Support Non-Customer / Internal
  • Back Plane TEC PCB and or Temperature Sensor Cable to be replaced; then Sensor recalibrated

Procedure is the same for the ICS3000/ICS5000/ ICS5000 Plus; however error codes reported may be different – symptoms and fix are the same. 

Cause

  • Possible Failure of TEC PCB
  • Damage to temperature sensor cable
