System pressure fluctuations and degasser malfunction 

Environment

All of Ion Chromatography systems (pumps)

Resolution

Must check all of the fluid paths to correct troubleshoot this issue. Must check the pump head parts, check valves, and seals, also check for leaking signs on the pump or any sign of up-normal noise. also check if the degasser pump working fine.

If the suspicion is now within the degasser system as the cause of this problem, monitoring the pressure profile after bypassing the degasser could give a good indication if the irregularity is coming from the eluent degassing system. The degasser chambers inside the pump modules maybe erupted and there is a leaking inside the chambers causing the pressure reading to be not stable.

Cause

Dryness of the chamber for long time or leaving them open without connection during operation
