TraceFinder Not Processing Data File

Issue

The file status does not turn from yellow to green as displayed below. There is no error reported.

Environment

  • TraceFinder
  • Mass Spectrometry

Resolution

Check the method peak detection of the compounds to verify if any compound is using Range Integrated or Range Detected in conjuction with having the fragment confirming ion enabled.

If this is the case then you will need to change the detection type to Single Detected and save the method. Tracefinder will now be able to process the data file. This is a known issue and will be fixed in Tracefinder version 5.0.

Cause

If you encounter a problem with Tracefinder not processing some data files while other data files process ok there may be an issue with the method peak detection settings.
