Monochromator Calibration
When operating the iCE 3000 Series instruments, sometimes it is necessary to perform a monochromator calibration if the wavelength does not match the specified method or if error messages like MD2019, MD2066, MD2070 appear during Optics setup, accompanied by a light patch around the entrance window. Follow the steps in the article to address this issue.
Issue
Sometimes it is necessary to perform a monochromator calibration. This could be for example if the wavelength is not matching up exactly with the one specified in the method. Or, If error messages such as MD2019, MD2066, MD2070 are encountered when setting up the Optics and the light patch is observed around the entrance window.
Environment
- iCE 3000 Series
Resolution
1) Insert Ca/Mg lamp in carousel position 6
2) Disconnect communications in SOLAAR
3) Open OQTest Software; do NOT go to action and connect
4) Click View and then Customer Diagnostics
5) Click on Calibrate button
6) Select Monochromator Calibration and then click Start
